Falcon Aviation Academy flight instructor courses will provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary for the Flight Instructor –Airplane practical test, the Flight Instructor-Instrument practical test and the Flight Instructor-Multiengine practical test. All initial candidates will be co-enrolled in all three courses. Training will follow the FAA approved curriculum for each beginning with basic airplane, instrument rating followed by multiengine aircraft. Upon successful completion of the entire course, candidates are recommended for three practical tests beginning with the multiengine airplane, followed by instrument rating and basic aircraft last. This complete and professional course will result in a professional instructor applicant with strong marketable skills.

For the student who currently holds a basic flight instructor certificate, Falcon Aviation Academy will offer courses individually. The expected time to complete the entire program for a full time student is six weeks.

Because Falcon Aviation Academy courses are more comprehensive than many courses offered by other non-approved schools, a knowledge and skill prerequisite evaluation is required before beginning the course. The evaluation will measure currency in commercial pilot knowledge and skills. The evaluation will consist of a 1.5 hour classroom session reviewing commercial pilot subject areas and a 1.5 hour flight session reviewing basic airmanship skills as they relate to commercial pilot skill levels. If knowledge and/or skills need improvement, a recommended refresher course outline will be prepared.
